Copy & Paste Your Way to Profit

Happy Monday!
In case you forgot, I’m that guy (@thekoerneroffice on the socials) that you probably found in a short form video talking about random business ideas.
Who am I? I’m Chris Koerner: Dad of 4, husband of 16 years and proud Texan. I’ve started 75+ business (3 worth over $10m) and give away all of my learnings for free in a once/week email.
Let’s get to it, shall we?
Sorry this one is a little late. I went out to Alabama last week and some things got pushed back. But I promise, this one is worth the read.
Okay, so a little while back, I talked with Omar, a buddy who's cracked the code on passive website income. This guy makes $800+ monthly from sites he barely touches, pulling in 11,000 organic visitors with zero ad spend.
And if you want to actually watch this conversation where he shows me his exact system (probably best to view to see all the ins and outs!) or listen to this as a podcast, you can check it out here: YouTube, Apple Podcasts & Spotify.
By the time you finish reading this, you'll have Omar's complete roadmap to build your first income-generating site using AI tools that do all the heavy lifting.
What You're Actually Building
Omar builds directory websites… think online databases that organize information around specific topics. But not boring corporate directories. Smart, targeted ones that solve real problems.
Example 1: GuiltChef.com - A recipe directory for restaurant-style dishes you can make at home. When someone searches "Wagamama crispy chili mushroom recipe," his site ranks #1 above Pinterest and Instagram.
Example 2: BestDubai.com - A local business directory for Dubai restaurants, hotels, and attractions. When people search "Parker's Dubai reviews," his site ranks #2, beating Facebook.
The genius is in the focus. Instead of trying to compete with Yelp or TripAdvisor on everything, you create laser-focused directories that own specific searches.
You could build:
High-protein snacks for fitness enthusiasts
Pet-friendly restaurants in your city
Budget wedding venues under $5,000
Toddler-safe play areas with reviews
Vegan meal prep services by location
Each site targets hundreds of specific searches people actually make. The AI creates individual pages for every variation.
How It Actually Works:
Think about this. When you search "best protein bars under $5" on Google, you get millions of results. But most of those websites are huge companies with massive teams.
You can find the shortcut.
Instead of competing with everyone, you create super specific websites that answer very specific questions. Like "guilt-free restaurant recipes" or "best restaurants in Dubai."
Then you use AI to create hundreds of pages around those topics. Each page targets different searches people make.
The AI writes the content. The AI organizes everything. The AI even tells Google exactly what's on each page using special code called "schema."
There are hundreds of schema types: Restaurant, Product, Review, Event, LocalBusiness, Recipe, etc. Each has specific properties Google looks for.
Most websites skip this because it requires technical knowledge. That's why Omar's AI-generated directories can outrank major sites- they're implementing proper schema while competitors aren't. He just went in to Cursor and told it, “I run a local business site and I need schema implemented”. AI man, it’s a crazy thing.
Before I keep going- my mind is buzzing with ideas of how you could tie a newsletter to this concept.
Think about it. People are desperate to have information come straight into their inboxes- and not have to go out and search for it.
I have a buddy named Jas who built his beehiiv newsletter Winnipeg Digest from scratch into a six-figure local media business. He grew his newsletter to over 35,000 subscribers in just about a year, monetizing through exclusive sponsorships.
Here's how beehiiv makes this work:. Monetization tools handle sponsorships and paid subscriptions. The built-in referral system grows your list automatically. Plus their ad network connects you with national brands wanting local audiences.
It takes 5 minutes to set up. By the time you need paid features, you'll be making money from local sponsorships.
Try beehiiv.com/chris for 30% off 3 months. You should go set up an account now and connect it to whatever directory website you build.
The tools that literally do everything
Ahrefs - This shows you what people are searching for on Google so you know what sites to build.
Cursor - This is a coding app with AI built right in. You download it, open it up, and type what you want in plain English. The AI inside (powered by Claude) writes all the technical code while you just describe your ideas like you're texting a friend.
Omar used WebFlow to create the web features, but other platforms like Wegic (AI website you build with chat), Replit (autonomous coding), and AutoDS (dropshipping automation site) are also blowing my mind with how fast their AI can turn ideas into working businesses.
Your Step-by-Step Money Plan
Step 1: Find Your Goldmine
Go to Ahrefs. Type in broad topics you know about. Look for searches with:
Low competition (0-30 difficulty)
Decent volume (500+ searches per month)
Don't pick "fitness" or "food." Too hard. Pick "high protein snacks for kids" or "pet-friendly restaurants in Austin."
Step 2: Get Your Domain
Use InstantDomainSearch.com. Type your idea. Buy the .com if it's available. Don't overthink this. Omar's most successful site is called "GuiltChef" which has nothing to do with guilt.
Step 3: Build Your Site
Then go to 5DaysSprint.com. You'll find the exact templates that work. Copy the code. Paste it into Cursor. Tell the AI what changes you want.
The AI builds everything. Product pages. Review systems. Contact forms. Everything.
Step 4: Let It Grow
This is the hard part. You wait. SEO can take 3-6 months. Some sites show zero results for months. Then suddenly they explode.
But while you wait, the AI keeps working. Creating more pages. Getting better at ranking. Making you money in the background.
The Money Starts Flowing
Once Google likes your site, the money comes from multiple places:
Subscriptions - Charge $5-10 per month for premium features. Omar's recipe site charges for custom recipe creation.
Affiliate links - Every product you mention links to Amazon. You get paid when people buy.
Local businesses - Restaurants pay to be featured in your city guide.
Email lists - Build a following. Sell them stuff they actually want. Again- beehiiv is the best newsletter platform out there.
A Copy-Paste Advantage
Here's the best part: once you build one successful site, making more takes 10 seconds.
Omar showed this to me live. He right-clicked his protein snack site. Click duplicate. Change "protein snacks" to "healthy drinks." It was crazy. Same design. Same functionality. Different niche.
You could create 50 different sites in an hour. Each one targeting different searches. Each one a potential money maker.
Let’s be real:
Google changes. What works today might not work next year. Like with every business, stay flexible.
Competition grows. More people learn this strategy every day. The easy wins won't last forever. But it will win right now. And it’s something you can start right now. And you're learning to build real businesses with AI. Even if directories stop working in the next few years, you'll know how to create anything.
Omar charges $100,000 when companies hire him to build similar sites. Learning these skills pays whether your personal projects succeed or not. You're developing the ability to turn ideas into businesses in days instead of months. That skill is worth everything in today's world.
How to start your first site: this week!
Pick one problem you've personally faced. Something specific. Something you understand. Maybe you're a parent looking for healthy kids' snacks. Maybe you travel and need pet-friendly hotels. Maybe you're into fitness and want budget protein sources.
Research that topic on Ahrefs. Find the specific searches people make. Buy a domain that matches.
Start with 20-30 pages. Let it grow little by little.
Don't try to build the next Amazon. Just solve one specific problem better than anyone else.
The Bottom Line
While everyone argues about whether AI will replace jobs, smart people like Omar are using AI to create jobs for themselves.
His sites work while he sleeps. They grow while he focuses on new projects. They generate income whether he checks them or not.
The tools exist today. The traffic is there. The money is real. The only question is whether you'll take action while this opportunity is still wide open.
Let's get after it.
Everything is figureoutable.
And again, if this is something you want to dive into- watch this conversation (probably best to view to see all the ins and outs!) or listen to this as a podcast, you can check it out here: Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcasts.

So let's get after it!
