Happy Monday!

If you heard Friday’s podcast episode then this email might seem redundant, but it’s not. Better yet, if it ever seems like my newsletter is just a recycled rehashing of what I covered on a podcast, it’s not.

That would be lame, and I’m not lame.

But what I will often do is take a popular podcast episode or segment and expound on it in a newsletter. That’s what today is. But before we go there, I want to pull back the curtain.

A few weeks ago I asked you to vote on a one question poll regarding what type of content I should cover on the pod. Thank you for the 100+ responses!

Here are all of the responses here. What’s my takeaway? Y’all want these things:

• Approachable and tactical business ideas for 6-8 figure opportunities that can be bootstrapped. Not high level fluff without any mention of tools or distribution strategy. Not a billion dollar idea that requires venture capital.

• Same as the above, but instead of business ideas, business deep dives on one specific idea.

Of course there’s a selection bias at play, but I’m so glad y’all voted this way, because this is the content that I love and that gives me the most energy.

I’m gonna keep going in that direction, so thank you for the feedback.

Ok, back to the print shop podcast episode.

Here’s the idea we discussed:

• Pay a virtual assistant to design a simple Wordpress widget that a print shop business owner can embed on his website. This will cost a few hundred dollars.

• Use Built With to scrape every Wordpress website that has keywords related to the printing business in it.

• Start doing cold outreach to business owners with this offer

I could write a whole newsletter around using Built With.

Built With is a website where you can download endless data points on millions of websites based on what tools those websites use.

Wanna sell to Shopify store owners? Download a list of contact info for all Shopify store owners.

Wanna sell print shop widgets to Wordpress site owners? Download a list of all Wordpress sites based around whatever keywords you select!

Wanna start a $20k/month Klaviyo agency? You know what to do!

In fact, if you’re ever short on ideas, start browsing Built With.

Another way to generate business ideas, that has nothing to do with this newsletter but I have ADHD? Start browsing Bizbuysell listings. You will be flooded with ideas!

Ok, speaking of ADHD, I just now decided to pivot this entire email haha. I was going to go deeper on the print shop idea, but instead, I’m just going to browse Built With and try to generate business ideas on the fly. I’ll record myself while I do it, because why not? I’ll also go over how I scrape data.

Ok, I’m back. That took 3 tries but I just went ahead and made it more exhaustive, so it’s more of a scraping guide as opposed to me riffing on ideas. But there are a few ideas in there! I think I’ll even publish to YT! That wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for this newsletter so thank you!
